Privacy policy
Your privacy on tropeboundgames.com
Effective October 1, 2026
This policy explains what Tropebound Games ("we", "us") collects through this website and our studio email list, and what we do with it. Each of our games has its own privacy policy on its own website, because each game handles its own licenses and receipts.
The short version
- We collect very little: the email you give us, and the basic technical data every website receives.
- We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- In our games, what happens in play stays on your device.
- You can ask us to see or delete your information at any time.
What we collect
When you join the studio list
Your email address, your confirmation that you are 18 or older, the date you joined, and the country your connection came from (estimated from your IP address by our hosting provider). We use this only to send studio news, a few times a year.
When you email us
Your email address, your message, and anything you choose to include. We use it to answer you and to keep a record of support, privacy and legal requests.
When you visit the site
Like every website, our hosting provider receives technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. It's used to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse, and it's kept only for a short time. This site sets no cookies. Because we don't track visitors across websites, there is nothing for a browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off, and the site works the same whether or not you send one.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers who process information for us under contract and only for the purposes above:
- Cloudflare, for hosting, security and email routing
- Our email provider, for sending and receiving mail
Game purchases are handled by Apple for the App Store and by our payment partner for web unlocks, under the privacy policy of each game. We may share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
How long we keep it
Studio list emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Support and privacy emails are kept for up to three years so we can handle follow-ups and show we answered them. Server logs are kept for a short time.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the studio list with the link in any email. You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by writing to privacy@tropeboundgames.com. We'll confirm it's you, usually by replying to the same address, and respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever they live, and we won't treat you differently for making one.
Age
Our studio list and some of our games are for people aged 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, write to us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections, limit who can access our systems, and collect as little as we can. No system is perfectly secure, but keeping less data means there's less to lose.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so on this page and, where appropriate, email the studio list.
